Title: You Warned Me
Post by: Chefjohn on 06/28/2018 02:06 PM
So it seems I have already outgrown the small desktop humidor I got (I should have listened to you guys sooner). I'm going to set up a tupperdor. I have found a decent container and some cedar trays. I assume the container doesn't need to be seasoned but do the trays?

Not really, but it can't hurt.  Just wipe with moist towel or paper towel using distilled water.  Just wipe enough to slightly darken the wood.  Don't over do it.

Thanks Chief. I was thinking of doing that or setting a bowl of distilled water in if for a few days.

If you go this route, add a sponge. The water itself has very little surface area and won't season them as well.
