Title: Feb. 3 Super Bowl Llll
Post by: amigodecigars on 09/20/2018 04:03 PM
Super Bowl LIII will be held in Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The game will take place Feb. 3 and will be broadcast on CBS.  Los Angeles pop-rockers Maroon 5 will head east early next year to headline the Super Bowl 53 halftime show in Atlanta.   Who do you pick to be in the game?

Don't hate 05Venturer, Amigo is excited about the NFL football championship game in 135 days.  Personally I'm holding out for the next full solar eclipse over the continental United States which is scheduled on 8 April, 2024 which is in just 2027 days.  Very excite!

The last total solar eclipse visible from the continental U.S.A. occurred on Aug. 21, 2017. A total solar eclipse was visible from Hawaii and Mexico on July 11, 1991. The next total solar eclipse visible from the U.S.A. occur on Apr. 8, 2024.

The partial and annular phases of eclipses are dangerous to look at because the un-eclipsed part of the Sun is still very bright. You must use special filters or a home-made pinhole projector to safely watch a partial or annular eclipse of the Sun (see: Observing Solar Eclipses Safely). It is only during the total phase of a total eclipse that it is completely safe the to view the Sun with the naked eye. See Solar Eclipses For Beginners to learn the basics.

Speaking of baking cookies

Sir Edmund Percival Hillary KG ONZ KBE (20 July 1919 – 11 January 2008) was a New Zealand mountaineer, explorer, and philanthropist. On 29 May 1953, Hillary and Nepalese Sherpa mountaineer Tenzing Norgay became the first climbers confirmed to have reached the summit of Mount Everest. They were part of the ninth British expedition to Everest, led by John Hunt.

For some reason this made me think of Uranus

Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun. It has the third-largest planetary radius and fourth-largest planetary mass in the Solar System. Uranus is similar in composition to Neptune, and both have different bulk chemical composition from that of the larger gas giants Jupiter and Saturn. For this reason, scientists often classify Uranus and Neptune as "ice giants" to distinguish them from the gas giants. Uranus's atmosphere is similar to Jupiter's and Saturn's in its primary composition of hydrogen and helium, but it contains more "ices" such as water, ammonia, and methane, along with traces of other hydrocarbons.[14] It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in the Solar System, with a minimum temperature of 49 K (-224 °C; -371 °F), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with water thought to make up the lowest clouds and methane the uppermost layer of clouds.[14] The interior of Uranus is mainly composed of ices and rock.[13]

One concern raised by fans was the wait for bathrooms during games at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. In fact, there are nearly 25 percent more toilets for men and 30 percent more for women than at the Georgia Dome, which had a comparable amount of seats. With increased signage and user knowledge of the venue, bathroom waits should subside, officials said. Unless, of course, there is another outbreak of Rotavirus which tends to increase during partial eclipses or when Uranus is visible in the southeastern portion of the night sky.

John is a great BOTL, and a friend...I can see where some may think this is spam, but it is not...

I am a bit biased, being a Rams fan...so lets go with the LA RAMS vs Jaguars...with, of course, the RAMS being victorious...

Too bad about Jimmy G's injury, he should have gone out of bounds.  Rams vs. Chiefs

Well played game last night.  With all due respect to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Rams look very much like the best team in football right now.
