As some of you know, or can look if you're interested, a trade of mine got screwed up a couple of years ago :-0

Long story short:
-YES it has been OVER 2 years! 2 years or not I still owe and it's an issue for me.
-YES I received Brad's (cavenbk) box.
-YES I shipped mine Brad never received :angry:
-Making sure the other person in the trade gets his box and tracking it down if he didn't was MY RESPONSIBILITY.
-100% my fault so I owe the cigars.

THIS IS WHERE YOU GUYS COME IN :biggrin:

Here are Brads words with a solution to square it between us: "I appreciate you wanting to make things right, but to be honest at this point it would be a waste of cigars for you to do so. I have more or less stopped smoking cigars, save for a few occasions. Again, I appreciate you wanting to make things right, but save your cigars. Or better yet, if you really want to part with some, put together a care package of smokes to send to some troops. They will appreciate them."

I already send to the troops SO I'm going to do that this year AND hit 4 of you geeks AND help improve the site!!


Contest Rules:
Here is what you need to do:
1. Review just 1 cigar todays date or later (prefer one that has 0-2 reviews but not required.)
2. Post a picture of just 1 cigar todays date or later (prefer one that has 0-2 pictures but not required.)
3. Post on this thread a link to both the pic and the review.

-Do those 3 things and you get one entry. Each entry will be assigned a number in the order of the post!
 -Now here is another nice little twist. If you review 5 cigars, post 5 pictures and post it here then you get 5 entries!!
-24 June 2019 I will use a random number generator to pick the 4 winning numbers. Those 4 numbers will get one VERY nice surprise delivered in time for the 4th of July weekend!
-I guarantee that each package will be valued anywhere from $5-$575! :lmao:
-ONE of those packages will be VERY special indeed.

Now remember if only 1 person enters 4 times then they win! Reviews and photos is what makes our database shine so lets give it a kick

Great way to do it, and a good way to spur some activity on the site.

Great idea.  Who doesn't love a chance for some free cigars especially when my humidor has (unfortunately) plenty of room lately  :-)  A great way for me to be a little more thoughtful and involved with my reviews.

I've been out of town the past week.  It's probably waiting for me at the office so hopefully I'll post a pic tomorrow.

And Kirk all good.  We felt the EQ but harmless where we are, just a little thrill ride.  EQs were fun back in the day but Northridge forever changed that for me.  Thankful it wasn't close...

Nothing waiting for me but my guess is life got busy for Jeff or something.  I don't think he set this whole thing up (all to try and make up for a trade bust with cavenbk) just to flop on top of a flop.  Give him some time.  I know I just went through a 3-4 week stretch where I could hardly think about cigars due to all that was going on at work.  He has a couple successful trades under his belt since he's been back.  I'm sure he'll come through...

To all yes I'm back now and yes I dropped off the planet. We have been down in Buena Vista with my son and his wife. After almost 3 weeks in the hospital My grandson passed away. Sorry to not have gotten these out before we left but I really did think it would only be one of his 1 week stays that have been going on for over a year now. But not this time. I will get these done the cigars had already been picked out and I was just waiting for end date to get them boxed up and sent. They should all go out this week but please have some patience if it's longer. I will only be pretty much off and on for awhile but will come through on this and passes.

The wife is working nights so not real sure if she made it to the post office today or not. One way or the other at the latest Monday I will post tracking numbers on this thread so all winners will know where the boxes are. Package received, Thanks Jeff and best of luck with your tragedy. Couldn't imagine what I'd be feeling. Cigars would be my last thought in that emotional ride. Great packaging by Jeff, received the same as Gary with 2 cigars replaced with great selections. Replaced were the Alec Bradley Rare and Fine and the Olivia "G" with the La Antiguedad Corona Grande and the CLE Connecticut Toro. As I have mentioned before I can not figure out how to post pics.

Need some help locating a cigar that Jeff sent me so generously The Camacho maduro robusto in Gary's picture, the best description I found was from Katman's blog. https://kohnhed.com/2013/08/09/cigar-review-camacho-corojo-maduro-1118/   Only it's a robbusto size not the 11/18-Figurado size.

Any help would be appreciated.

Kirk, my understanding on these is it's a discontinued blend thus the older label.

Bruce as usual is correct. It's a Camacho Diploma Series (Corojo Limited) Diploma Maduro copy and paste that into the cigar search and it will pop up the 5x50 robusto. I have already taken them off my VH but just so you know the date I got that one was 6/10/2011 is a nice smoke. I preffer the 11/18 and the 08/22 which is why they are sill in my VH  :biggrin:  Since Peter was the double winner I still went ahead and made sure his box had a little extra kick to it.

I Hope all of you enjoy the cigars and they all bring you a smile.

I don't think that's signing himself up to literally send something worth $575.  If so then the other prize packs should be worth only $5 and they were easily worth probably $50-$80 or so.  And he sent one he didn't need to to the one guy that didn't win but did play.  So he probably unloaded around $200-$300 worth of cigars in this contest and each pack was valued between $5 and $575.  Maybe give him a break? :confused:

Trying to stay neutral on this but if the intent was not to deliver a $575, or even close, package, why state so?  $575 seems like a fairly precise, well thought out number.

Well everyone I just wanted to apologize for disappointing! Yes the $5-$575 followed by an emoji "Rolling On The Floor Laughing My Ass Off" was just a bit of fun on my part! Sorry if anyone took it literal. This contest was to fix a trade that was screwed up on my end. I took full responsibility for that in the very first post. Just FYI for everyone I sent out 4 prize packs. Each one of those exceeded the amount that I owed as my part of the botched trade. If anyone else has issue with the botched  trade that was a mistake and not intentional on my part OR with the final value of the prizes feel free to IM me here or broncofans0213@gmail.com if you prefer.
