I scheduled the draft for the 15th, autopick.  If anyone can't get their stuff done and has a problem let me know, but otherwise that will give everyone time to set rosters and maybe work some trades around.  Looking forward to it!

Are we still doing the draft on Sunday? Would seem to make more sense to wait until we see what happens with the rest of spring training first. Injured players are getting more time to heal, etc... Thoughts?

I agree with Kerry.  I don't think the draft should take place a scheduled.  I think if we push it to at least the end of the month and re evaluate a week prior.

Postpone the draft until we know what the schedule looks like and then schedule it for a week before.  That my thought.

I have pushed the draft until the 31st and can reevaluate as we know more.  If they stick with a 2 week delay then this should be enough time to still make any adjustments.  If they extend the delay I can push it further if necessary.

I've seen numerous articles today that speculate that MLB won't start until May at the earliest. My guess is that spring training will restart at some point in May and we may have baseball again by June. Either way, it's definitely going to be a shortened season.

I got a notice tonight that the draft is scheduled for tomorrow at midnight. I think we can safely postpone this until May 1st at the least. Just my thoughts.

I moved to May 1 but I can move it up if they happen to decide to start earlier.

Yes, play with what we got. I agree with Chuck, a fiver each is good and adds a little more incentive to play hard.

Hey Stogiedad, what about the idea of allocating more IL spots due to Covid? With the usual injuries and now 2-3 weeks of Covid time for anyone who tests positive, we can easily get into situations where we need to cut players that we would typically never cut. Just something to consider.

I will check but I'm pretty sure I can't change the league settings after I set the draft.  But let me see.

The postponements, covid IL, and the long layoff have all contributed to a weird first week.

yea, with all the games postponed, Mike Trout was out on paternity leave, that was a crazy week to keep up with.  And I don't think a pitcher besides a #1 or maybe a #2 goes over 4 innings anymore.

After being down almost a hundred points all week, with half of my pitchers on the IL,  I assumed I had almost no chance this week.  Then my team explodes Saturday and Sunday for the win.  Crazy.  I almost feel guilty.  Not really.  Wondering if the season will be able to continue much longer given the Florida Marlins moronic behavior.  Lets go to a strip club during Covid.  GREAT IDEA!

Anybody need a first baseman?  Might be willing to part with someone if anybody is looking.
