I'm gonna get this fired up so we can get our "kids" picked by Nov 1st.
It's that time of year, time to get the Secret Santa rolling again. Here's how it works:
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE SIGNING UP THANX
Let me know in this thread if you are interested in participating. You must have achieved Veteran status or higher to be part of this. The cutoff date to get your name in will be November 8th, no exceptions will be made to this. You will then be assigned, at random, another person from the list to play Santa for. You will send your recipient a total of six cigars. This will include 5 good quality sticks, which you think your recipient will enjoy. One of these five sticks should be designated as a New Years Eve smoke, typically people have done this with the highest end or most rare stick they send, though this is not required. The sixth cigar you send is the "Lump of Coal" cigar, and should be a smoke that would be worthy of giving to a cigar mooch or annoying relative.
The cigars MUST be sent in time to arrive before Christmas. Please take into account that mail is typically a little slower at that time of year. Also, please remember this is a SECRET Santa, you aren't supposed to let your recipient know you are their Santa. (Until the gift arrives, anyway.)

As John Wooden would say, "Goodness gracious sakes alive!" Saint NICK really outdid himself, absolutely destroying my wishlist in extremely generous fashion. I'm totally floored. He made sure nothing was loose in the box by packing it with some New Mexico goodies I'm looking forward to try, especially the cookies!
As if this were not enough, he objected to me abstaining from the birthday bomb pass and slapped me with a Shark and a BLTC Bishop's Blend for my birthday...in July! I will gladly save those until then.

I just got another update about delays. Apparently Santa is having serious delivery issues... My package was dropped off on 12/6 and was scheduled priority mail.

Brian (Ninfiction) must have known I barely was able to stay off the naughty list this year and rewarded me handsomely! Santa nirab - Brian delivered a spectacular package from beautiful Buda. A great selection of cigars, a DE Shade swag pack, a Jalapeno Texas Mead and a very nice card. I know it's hard to tell from the photo, the swag pack came in a sweet tin box and includes a hat, a portable charger and a waterproof beach bag. Oh and he included a couple Cigar Vault pins and sticker.

Funny story, I was hanging with Jack Torano at an event. He asked me what my favorite Torano is, and I had let him know it was the Exodus bronze, much to his annoyance. General cigar owns and makes that one, not his family's company... :biggrin:

I'm heading out of town on the 23rd, so if Santa needs an extra week for delivery, I'll recieve it in January.

Prior to today, I hadn't received a single piece of mail since 12/18. This morning I find a bin of mail on my doorstep - tracking shows some of the items were marked delivered 12/19! Ugh - get your sh!t together USPS!
