I've been hit with a Condolence Bomb by Bruce (aka Brlesq). That was very nice of you, Bruce!
That's a tasty bomb! Well deserved too.
Fantastic!
Wow. Really cool, Bruce! Well done.
Very very nice... :-)
Call me a sap, but the note was as nice as the cigars. I showed the cigars and note to my kids and I got a "That's tight!" from one and a "That is so freakin' cool of him!" from the other. My wife said "That's so sweet. I thought all y'all did was talk about cigars and tell jokes."
Uncle Buck's funeral was yesterday up in Birmingham. Unfortunately, I was unable to make the trip, but everyone understood.
D'Artagnan and Missy (the two puppies) and T-Bone (the dad) are doing fine. D'art has actually learned to play fetch as long as whatever you throw makes noise and you don't throw it more than 15-20 feet.
Again, Bruce, thank you very much!
Sweet, that one looks like a PUNCH Oscuro, very nice cigar!
:dancing:
Very well done, Bruce!!!
:bigthumbs:
Very thoughtful ... well done Bruce!
Well done!
Nice job Bruce
Bruce, nice job! Very thoughful gesture of you!
Very classy gesture and a classy recipient as well!!
I wanted to enter them into my online humidor accurately, so Bruce and I traded PMs. Here's the tally:
Tatuaje Havana VI Nobles (5" x 50) – Recent purchase
5 Vegas Series 'A' Apex Maduro Toro (6.5"x52) – 4 years aged
Punch Rothschild Oscuro (4.5"x50) – Recent purchase
Gurkha Triple Ligero Toro (6.1"x52) – Aged 3 years (a/k/a Gurkha G3 on some websites)
Hoyo de Monterrey Governor Oscuro (6.12"x50) – Aged 1 year
:dancing: :singing: :cheer: :respekt:
I lost my Black Roughneck Monitor only ten days after I bought him for $175. I traded in my Cuban Iguana for $75 and paid $100 and now I have neither. He was a cutie. I held him everyday to tame him. He was going to grow to 5 feet long in a few years. Now all I have is my uromastyx and alligator snapping turtle. I will replace him with a cheap ($30) Savannah Monitor in two weeks. They are easy to tame and grow to 4 feet. My late monitor died of an infection he probably got from the crickets he ate.
Bombs away! I need sympathy!     I'm also all out of shame.

I'm viewing this on a freebie Hitachi CM811 Plus monitor that my boss gave me. The Hewlett Packard monitor in Hunter's room is acting up (it keeps resizing the display). Someone took off with four of my EV floor monitors at the last show I ran sound for ($600 per monitor) . You still want to talk about monitors?
Sorry about your loss, Larry, if you are serious. If not, then pucker up and stand in line. I'll see if I can't get the GEICO guy to stop by your place and cuddle!

Very serious about the monitor. Less serious about the bomb plea. After all, I've already reviewed 999 cigars. What are the chances anyone will send me a cigar I haven't reviewed?

Duly noted and please accept my apology for being flip. It sucks when anything you were taking care of goes.
You're probably right about the cigars, though. I will, however, see about sending some shame your way since you said you were out...

That's nice of you, so long as it doesn't get my name put on any "No Fly" lists at the airport!! :-)

It just might. I work in a federal gov't office building. I got some very interesting looks from passers-by when I was telling a couple of my cigar buddies that there was a bomb in my mailbox yesterday!

Welcome! Whatcha like to smoke?
Thanks for the welcome guys. I have no problem with the thick skin thing. I have worked in a chemical plant/refinery for 18 years. Let's just say you can't make it with your heart on your sleeve. As far as smokes go my favorites so far after only about 10 are perdomo lot 23 and Gurkha triple ligero maduro. Enjoying the second try at the latter right now.

The Lot 23's are good cigars and affordable as well.
