I'll join if you'll have me. Got some decent mad's to share with the crew ...
You and your Maduros will be most welcome.
Got room for me?
Can I play too? I've found an interesting selection at the local cigar shop which should fit this bill quite nicely
David and Greg you are in.
Very cool. Thanks!
I'm excited to get this thing moving! Thanks for inviting me in by the way!
A maddie pass? I gotta get in! Mind if I join the party?
:dancing: Looking forward for this is my very first cigar pass!
Nick, welcome.
Christopher, I'm glad you are excited.
I'm hoping we can add some more people. Then we will get this pass rolling.

Thanks for the invite, Neil. I'm headed over to my local B&M tomorrow, so I'll pick up some tasty maduros...
Neil thanks for the invite, but I'm going to pass on this, sorry. I hope you start another one some time that I can join. :-(
Thanks for the invite!
Thank you for the invitation Neil. I normally would jump on this since I am a maduro lover, but my plate is a bit too full right now and I don't want to hold anyone up.
Sounds like a great pass tough. Have Fun!

Ditto. Thanks for the invite.
Alright, I'm in. Thanks for the invite.
Thanks for the invitation, and it does sound fun! I am currently laying low with cigar passes for now. Have fun, and maybe we will catch you in a pass in the future
Thanks for the invite but I'm going to have to pass on this one as well. Have fun!
I am in, thanks for the invite :-)
Now to start selecting a few maduro's from my humi to trade when the pass comes my way. :shades:
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but isn't there an issue shipping cigars to our brethren in the Great White North? That might put a hitch in Greg's participation...

It could be an issue but there was an least on sucessful pass with a Canadian member. My suggestion would be to make him a virtual participant. Let him do his puts and takes online, the person who is holding the pass ships only those cigars to Greg, and Greg sends back the ones to replace it to the designated person. It should save on shipping too. Just a suggestion.

Cool, now I must offset that deed by doing evil, thus bringing balance to the universe.
I had thought of this and had planned on Greg being first. We learned from that post about the cigar taxes to Canada that they were able to refuse the shipment and have it returned to sender without a problem. I like the idea of the virtual pass even better. I think I will still have Greg be first, but I like the idea that I will just send him what he wants and send the rest to the second person and have him send his puts to that person also.
You guys are a good bunch of quick thinkers!
I was worried about this too, wondering how much shipping was going to be for not only me, but the person shipping it out to me as well. The vitural pass sounds good, and I am more than happy that you guys have been thoughtful enough to keep me a part of this.
Let me know when you guys want to get started and we can get this thing moving!
Okay. Here we go. We have a good group of people for this pass. I am hoping for a few more, but it should be a good pass either way. Please let me know if you want to, or are going to join. I will not close joining this pass for a couple more weeks.
Please, everyone look over the order and let me know of any conflicts, or reshuffling that needs to occur.
Greg I have transitioned the pass to you. Let me know what you want as your takes and I will ship those cigars to you.
Voexum, I currently have you as after Greg (Vanilla Gorilla). I will send the remainder of the pass to you and Greg will send you his puts. Then we will go normal (or as normal as possible) from there.
Thanks everyone for being on my first moderated pass. We have a couple of first time pass participants. Glad to have you all.

Those are my takes for sure! Let's get this party started!
I've updated the cigar section with my takes. I'll be submitting my puts after this weekend and sending it out Monday morning before noon (no postal service on weekends in Canada)
Now I guess I'll just ask everyone to keep their fingers crossed for me that I have no problems with the package getting over the boarder!
The main body of the pass is out to Christopher USPS 0496 9010 1730 5924 4192. Expect delivery on Wednesday. Greg will be sending you his puts to join with these.
Greg yours are away. The women at the post office said 3 to 7 business days. Let me know when you get them. Any problems, let me know.
Awesome, I'll be keeping my eye out for it!
Just got home and letting everyone know that the box got here safely. :-) I believe that that postal closes at 4pm, so I'll open it make my puts and takes and send it out tomorrow.
*edit* Actually before I send it what's happening with Vanilla Gorilla's, am I ment to wait for that? Just lemmie know

This is a good point. Just so I know where to send mine too, cause I've only got two days left of postal service for me to get the cigars before the weekend, I don't know if you guys have one too, but it's our long weekend this weekend coming up so Monday is a holiday. I might not get the cigars till Tuesday.
Should I send them to Voexum? Or to whoever is next on the list, cause I don't even know how long it'll take to get into the states for you guys.
By the way my puts are
Nording by Rockey Patel
CAO MX2 Robusto
Oliva O Maduro Torpedo
Gurka assassin
Also due to the fact that our Cigars in Canada are slightly more expensive, I had to go over the price limit for my cigars. So hopefully you guys don't think I'm being cheap and replacing cigars with dirty cheap ones lol, cuase these boys cost me a pretty penny over the boarder.
Greg. Send your puts to Christopher. Send them whenever you think is best. Tomorrow is fine. Next Tuesday is fine. We all have a long weekend.
Christopher. Wait until you get the cigars from Greg, and then do you puts and takes. Then move it along.
Hey guys, just to keep everyone updated, I still haven't sent my sticks out. Iam worried about them getting wrecked, so I am still waiting on mine to arrive, then I'll send them out in the same packaging. Should be any day now according to shukpaws last message. Thanks again to everyone for being cool enough to include me even though im north of 60!
Wifey just called and said my picks got in today! Also I got bombed on top of my picks as well! It's a good day!
I'll send mine out tomorrow now that I know how people are packaging them. I'll be sending my sticks out with a humipack that I picked up for this long trip from canada to the states! Tracking number to come!
My puts are out as of yesterday, sent them through canada post and they should arrive in 3-7 business days according to the clerk I was dealing with. I mailed them out inside of a humi pouch which I placed into a container for extra protection. Voexum should expect some fresh new maduro's by the end of this week, or early of next.
Alright. Thanks Greg. Hope you enjoy your cigars.
I have so far! They came in great shape, and again, thank you for the bomb as well!
Hey guys just want to first let everyone know the cigars are OK!
Dunno what made me take a look at the humidifier, but when I did I noticed that there was little specs of white mold in the green padding of it.
The cigars were in baggies and cellophane, and I checked and didn't find any mold on them. I Removed the humidier and took some pictures.

You know your cigars are well aged when your humidifier starts to plume! :lmao:
That type of humidifier is notorious for that happening, at least in my experience.
Glad to hear the cigars are okay. I had this happen once before. I wiped the humidifier off as best I could and put it out in the sun for a couple hours. It never had a the problem again. This humidifier had never been used before this pass and has distilled water in it. I am open to better sugestions.

For passes, I would suggest Boveda humidity packs:
http://www.bovedapacks.com/
I agree with Nathan on this one. Boveda are the way to go, they don't leak or grow mold or bacteria.
Those sponge types are prone to growing stuff. If you really want to save it, I would suggest immersing it in hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes and then giving it a good shake out, followed by a rinse with distilled water. Leave it out overnight to dry, then recharge with PG solution.

(j/k)
I have two Boveda Humidification Packets on order to Voexum from Cheap Humidors. Estimated delivery is Friday. I will post a tracking number if they send me one. Christopher, do what ever you want with the humidifier. It's your to toss or try Jackal's suggestion or use as a Christmas ornament, or whatever.
Once you get the humidification packets and the cigars from Greg feel free to do your thing with this pass.

For the cost of the humidifier I would toss it. I had a couple of cheap foam humidifiers that I used distilled water in......and they grew some fuzzy stuff in my travel tupperware. I have since changed to PG solution and have not had any problems.
I tossed my fuzzy discs and chalked it up to experience.

By the way, it is tough to tell from the photo, is that really mold, or could it be hard water spots? What was the disc filled with?

For the record, every pass I have been a part of has come to me with a huimidifer disk as the humidification method.
I have the packets coming to Voexum, so I think we can move on now.
So my puts came back to me today with damaged packaging....The cigars are fine and I will be sending them out with express delivery to Voexium tomorrow (I missed the post today by about an hour and a half)
Sorry for the inconvience Voex. I think you get it either next day or 2nd day mail. So expect my puts no later than Friday.
So Canada post must hate me. It came back again today, opened and returned listed contents not declaired.
So Chris, I sent out another package this morning. The Tracking number is CX 400 962 398 CA and can be tracked either at http://www.canadapost.ca or by calling 1 800 267 1177 (Toll Free)
The guy at the post office said the best thing for me to do is declair what is in the box, mark it as a gift, mark it as if needed to be returned return at senders expense and hope for the best. So Chris when you receive this package, there's no bells and whistles with it, its just a box, the humi pouches and the cigars inside. Hopefully you'll see these by Tuesday or so.
Sorry guys, I don't know if Canadians have ever participated in passes in the past, but this has been quite a pain in the A$$....this one might be my first and last.
So in Canada, you get national healthcare and don't have to lock your doors, but your postal system is an ass-beating...

I guess I shouldn't have said anything when this pass started, but this was kind of what I was worried about...
We are fortunate that shipping cigars across US state lines is not taxed yet......notice I said Y E T !!!! It's coming.... any way they can squeeze a nickle out of smokers, they will.
But until then, cigar passes in the states are pretty safe. (and fun ! ) :dancing: :dancing:

Hillary banned cigars for other reasons I think, if Bill was just smoking them straight out of the humidor on his desk this never would have gotten out of hand !
Greg, I am glad we had/have you. It is all David's fault for bringing it up and jinxing it in the first place. I hadn't planned on starting this pass until a couple of weeks ago anyway. I got it moving as soon as you joined in anticipation of a little delay. It has been longer than we expected, but that's okay. It's not your fault. If the U.S. had just won that battle in Montreal in the 1800s then all of Canada would be ours and we wouldn't have this problem. Fingers crossed, next week we will have all the cigars together in New York. We won't have a fuzzy humidifier. And the pass will be ready to continue.
I'm glad we could facilitate a littel more political debate.

As I told Neil, I have no issue holding the pass until every thing's together so your not inconveniencing me what-so-ever. I'm keeping the cigars in one of my humidors so there not sitting in baggies, tupperware and cardboard boxes to ensure their good health.

This is good news! Keep us updated! Like I said before it isn't a pretty package, just a white box with nothing other than the humipouches and the cigars inside. They told me at the post office (After my 3 attempt) that the best way to send them would be the cigars and nothing else. Otherwise I would have at least attached a note to it.
Hey guys I have decided to sit this one out. Please remove me from the rotation. I'll catch another pass after I take a break. Thanks :-)
So I called the Canadian postal # and I asked if they could look into where the shipment is. They told me that it was sent on the 23rd, crossed the border on the 28th and arrived in customs on the 29th. They then looked into it and they conclude it's still in customs because it has not entered the USPS. That's as much as I know at the moment, if anything new develops I let you know.

Customs agent: "Ok Mr. Gurka. What's your first name?"
Gurka Cigar: "Assassin"
Customs agent: "....." *slips on white gloves* "Ok...go over into room number 3, I'll be in with an armed guard in a minute"
Gurka Cigar: "damnit....this happens every time...."
:lmao: :lmao:
Good to hear the cigars arrived. This ends the Canadian portion of this pass. Apparently I appropriately named this pass. Let the Madness continue. :-)
Ahh this is getting to be annoying, I type up the message and this stupid wifi of the school turned on so my phone is like oh cool let me use that, but its so slow it freeze the damn phone and deletes my message... So finally after fixing the phone not to connect I hopefully got it.
I have entered my puts and takes and am planning to send it on at 2pm. If there is anything I needed to do or you want me to do, let me know. I will check back here at 1:45 to see if there is anything posted.
Edited for correction of phone's auto spelling...
Ok, back from the post office, and it's off to KennyG, with a tracking # of 0309 3220 0000 0542 6387
Thanks again for including me in this pass!

Thanks Man, I will be watching the tracking number, and will update you when it arrives in Upstate NY, at my door.

Like I said before, it was no problem, but let me tell you somthing.
Looking at all those cigars, man my mouth was watering! :lmao:
Good news, the US postal service delivered the pass today :-) :-)
Cigars are in terrific shape, and I am making my selection as I type this. Details to follow........
Sweet -- it's coming my way!

OK I mailed the package today, US Postal service : tacking number as follows.....
03100480000125529642
I sent it delivery confirmation, with insurance, in case a postal worker sits on the box.... but that should hold up even if someone sits on it it was a pretty tough plastic container......unless a really BIG guy sits on it, then, you will receive some true "box pressed cigars " :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

No problem
Received in good shape. I didn't get to do takes and puts last night but will tonight.
Recieved the package from Eddie this afternoon. Everything looks ship shape. I will do takes and puts this weekend and get it out on Monday.
Glad it made it safely! Pick some good ones.
Looking at the list and looking through the box, I see there are inconsistencies between them. :shades:
There is an Oliva O MAduro Torpedo on the list, but not in the box.
There is a Nick's Sticks, and a Perdomo Lot 23 in the box, but not on the list.
Please remember: when you do your takes and puts, make sure they are correct!! Naughty boys. :nono:
I will fix the list through my takes and puts ... just wanted you all to be aware of it.

Ugh, the Nick's Sticks and Perdomo are both my fault. I had to change the Gurka assassin and I cna't remember what the other one was going to when I had such a hard time with the post office at the begining of the pass.
Sorry, lads.
No biggie VG ... just poking ribs :-)
Armin, thanks for taking care of the list.
Eddie, nice puts and takes. Thanks for the quick turn around.
Get out your catchers mitt Dave ... they're on the way. I will post the actual transition and tracking number tomorrow (the office mail guy didn't get the number back to me today).

This may not be my place as I am not the admin of pass but can be please consider the removal of FijiJDM for his poor actions/etiquette in the ULPD pass and lack of any attempt to make right.

Thanks Rich for mentioning that. I had not been following the Unlimited Pass thread. Now that I have read it, I am making an alteration to the participant list of Outrageous Oddballs 2.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Notes: Package was shipped 10/25, should be in your possession today (26) or tomorrow (27).
Armin. Thanks for the fast turn around and nice puts and takes. And, once again thanks for straitening out the invintory.
It was at the door today. Things are hectic here right now, but I'm hoping for a quick turnaround.
You are welcome Neil ... my pleasure.
Dave, you must be busy. Not one mention of midgets or anything lately. Are you feeling well?
Takes and puts are posted. I'll get it out as soon as I can get by the PO.

Heh!
Crap. I left the box at the house this morning. We had a bad night last night. Vinny, Hunter's drummer buddy and a good friend of our family, fractured his skull last night in a skateboarding accident. Hunter's car is broke down, and Vinny was carting him to job interviews. We were so busy trying to get us to work and Hunter to today's interviews. I walked out of the house and left it. I'll try to get by the PO tomorrow. If not tomorrow then definitely Monday.
As for Vinny, if you're interested, as of last night and this morning, he was fine and were keeping him for observation. I found out from Hunter that they moved him back into ICU early this afternoon. Say your prayers guys.
An update from "Computer-less Cordell". He got the pass yesterday and left it at the office. He'll do his takes and puts over the weekend and update on Monday.
Received the pass today. Ill do my takes and puts and get it out Monday or Tuesday. Thanks!
I'll keep an eye out for it! Can't wait for that maduro goodness!
Got a bit delayed but pass will go out today. Need to update my puts but will drop it off later this afternoon. Expect it early next week. Thanks
Sounds great. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!!
No package yet. I'll check the po box again today. Hope you all had a safe holiday!
Here's the tracking number. Expected delivery date was the 26th. What the heck does mis-sent mean?

I actually looked it up. It apparently means that USPS has mis routed it to the wrong office for delivery. It should be routed to the correct office and then to the receiver. If not it will be returned to me and then we can do it all over again. I feel like I am cursed with USPS.
And to think. We thought we might have problems getting this pass from Cnanda to the U.S.. Who knew that Colorado to California would be harder. :-)
Glad we, or at least the USPS, know where the pass is.
That's a new one. Thanks for all the research and for the update. I'll shoot for a speedy turn-around when I do get it!

I just checked to see if the site has it updated and it shows it as delivered. Hopefully everything is in good shape, if not please let me know because I put insurance on it. :-0
The package has been received and looks good...
Puts and takes are done, and it will be in the mail to San Jo tomorrow. Should be a pretty quick delivery on that one...it's only about 90 minutes away

Received it today and will get it to NES Tek this weekend.
Handed this one off to Nick, but I'm drawing a blank on the 4th cigar I put in so I need a little reminder before I can transition it. Its been a long weekend...

It was one of the sticks I wanted to put. Bastard.
I should have this out within the next couple days.
Thanks for the speed this is moving at.
Some nice puts and takes in there, gentlemen.
Takes and Puts done. I'll hit the post office today.
Sent Dave a PM to confirm he's ready.
Sent this last night and it looks like it's getting there today.
Thanks for the fast turn around.
The pass was delivered yesterday afternoon, but it hit my mailbox this morning.
I'll have it in Monday morning's mail.
Sounds good, Dave. Looking forward to it.
Larry
Rifling through the pass, I found that the Graycliff Double Espresso isn't there, but a Don Pepin Mi Barrio El Acere is there. Given my recent experience with the Double Espresso--I've had two during the past week, and I didn't finish either one--this appears to be an upgrade of the pass.
I'll record a take of the DE and a put of the Mi Barrio to bring the record up to date.
Dave. Thanks for correcting the pass. I'm sure glad your Secret Santa didn't send you that Double Espresso they had thought about sending you.
The pass arrived in great shape. I'll make puts and takes and get it out to Jason either tomorrow afternoon or Saturday morning...
Larry
The pass is on its way to you Jason. Enjoy!
Thanks for the fast turn around.
Came in today. I will try and get it out Wednesday.
Puts and takes are done. I will put it in the mail tomorrow.
Neil, you got a great bunch of sticks heading your way.
Thanks again for hosting this pass.
Went out on Monday. Tracking still shows no record of it existing.
It seems like the PO never keeps up to date with tracking anymore. I have received packages that were listed still "in transit to destination" (not even "out for delivery").
I am giving them their $0.80. They need to do their jobs.
The pass is complete. I received the pass back today. That is an impressive box of cigars. I'd like to thank all of you for your generosity, and being part of the first pass I moderated. I hope you all enjoyed the pass.
Congrats on your pass, thats a nice sackful you got back!
Thank you! Love a good maddie!
Thanks for including me on this one.
Grad to see that it is home safe and sound. Thanks again for letting me be in this one.
Thanks for having me as well!
