So, be the first to name the most hidden songs in my nonsense and you win a Cuban cigar, PM me your list. Name them in the thread and your Disqualified!
Here goes...
So, I met a friend of yours today and he said whats going on? I said I'm working for a living and he said thats what a working man does. I say my girlfriend does too, she works hard for the money, as a matter of fact, here comes my girl! He said she used to be mine. I miss her so he said and I replied I bet you do...
Later, I went downtown to Alices' restaurant, instead of the sad cafe and ordered the special, the cheeseburger in paradise. The waitress says what would you like something to drink and I said I like beer! I love the tiny bubbles in beer! She says I love yesterdays wine! I asked for a ashtray, she says here babe but its pretty full, I said thats ok cause I'm down to my last cigarette.
Later I thought I'm goin' down to the bar for some misery and gin. I walked in and thought I love this bar! There were dim lights and thick smoke and sat beside a girl, some fella said she only smokes when she drinks, must be a man-eater I thought! I asked her about sharing the night together and she told me to get lost! I got nothing to lose so I asked again then she kissed me...
Woke up the next morning thinking I went to bed with a ten and woke up with a two! Oh no, aint living long like this I thought! Damn, why do I always think dont the girls all get prettier at closing time? I had to leave, I walked out into the pouring rain, just a fool in the rain actually was what I was!
Damn, oh what a night I thought, what a fool for the city! I wanna go home is all I could think...
:lmao:
GO!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool Contest Bob!
Great contest....I found a bunch of songs but I'm sure I'm missing just as many.
Nice idea for a contest, Bob. I started into it but got dizzy trying. Too many details for me. (Just like Rebecca's humidor contest.) :-(
If it was a "find the hidden guns" contest I would have a chance but I'm lost with the songs.
Way, way too much work for me. Cool contest, though!
Just the song titles? No need to list artists?
Edit to add:
I think this contest is rigged to favor the professional (or semi-pro) musicians in our midst! :shades:
;-)

I feel like we're not communicating effectively. See, when I say "no offense", I feel it gives me a license to say whatever I want, no matter how offensive, and it makes you an a-hole for taking offense to said offensive statement because I said "No offense". Understand?

Ok, my head was about to explode here! You guys come up with 9 million songs that werent on my official list, I was about to hang myself in the shower stall rather than deal with this!!!!!!
My fault, I didnt specify they had to be on my list so...
Shukpaw came up with 139 tunes out of my little story, I verified them at random on GOGGLE and he wins! I had a little over 50 on my list that I wrote down but he wins, Jackal got 60 + and Stogie and Nes Tek had about 50 plus!
Shukpaw is the winner and has no musical background that I know of...
The cigar is a Partagas P numero 2, maybe a few bonus cigars as well!
Thanks for participating!
:bigthumbs: Shukpaw
Bob, will you post the approved list?
Yeah, I guess I can do that! You guys blew my mind!
Congrats Shukpaw!

Shukpaw wanted that Cuban bad!! Congrats.
Anything by Gloria Estefan's nephew! Did I win?
Wow, congrats to the winner. And I had thought I was doing good, wasn't even close.
Times are rough, fellas... put up any old contest and you'll probably get entries. Give away a Rocky Patel something or any other non-Cuban, any brand - and you'd be swamped with entries, I bet.
Wow what a list lol, Congrats Shukpaw!
I got his winners pack together, A Partagas P, one of thse Romeo Habana Resreves, a Indian Tabac, a Perdomo and something else I cant remember at this juncture in the night!
Congrats dude, you worked hard for the money!
:lmao: :lmao:
Great job Shukpaw! Its funny as hell that you had more songs than Bob had on his "winning" list. :lmao:
:dancing:
Thanks Bob!
I have music listed under my interests in my profile. I have a composition degree. I also have one of the largest, most eclectic music collections I know of. If it's not rap or country I might have it.
In college I studied composition and opera during the day then hung out with all the grunge bands at night. A typical weekend in college would be Eugene Onegin (my favorite opera) at the Opera House Friday night. Followed by dancing at a club downtown where say Pearl Jam would be playing. Saturday, going up to Bellingham to see Nirvana and Mud Honey at Western Washington University. Partying with the bands afterwards, but making sure I got home in time to sing in the choir at church on Sunday. College was great.

Nothing. I just don't tend to like it and prefer most everything else. I don't have anything agianst people who do like it, and there are definitely some very talented people doing those kinds of music. I have maybe 10 rap or country CDs. Sir Mix-a-Lot, who is local, and a couple Tim McGraw. Live Like You Were Dying was a good CD. Haley Dykes' (Doyle Dykes' daughter) CD is a very good Christian Country CD.
Tell you what, grab you a 12 pack of PBR and get about half way through and put on Merle Haggard and George Jones, your horizons will expand!
I was in a band that opened up for Merle once, class act guy, funny as hell and he likes George Dickel, not my favorite but when your on Merles tour bus and he hands you the bottle you dont complain!!!!
:dancing:
Just giving you a hard time. I'm with you on the eclectic tastes - I'll listen to classical, opera, classic rock, grunge, hip-hop, country, and so on.
To be honest, I don't listen to much country, even though I've lived in GA most of my life. In the 90's, I listened to a LOT of it, but that was when the likes of Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, and later Kenny Chesney were popular. Garth is still my favorite - his greatest hits CD is fantastic.
Rap is a different story. For the most part, I don't like it. However, I love hip-hop. One of my favorite groups is OutKast.

I drink very infrequently and then only one. So, your suggestion is half way through a twelve pack. So, you are saying these bands sound better if you are getting sick while you listen to them. :lmao:
Nooooooooo, just kidding a bit about that but a bit of PBR will help you relate to the "country" state of mind...
Listen to these...
Merle...
1 What have you got planned tonight Diana
2 I take alot of pride in what I am
3 Always wanting you
4 I wonder if they ever think of me
5 Misery and gin
6 If we make it through December
7 Lonesome Fugitive
8 Mamas hungry eyes
9 Carolyn
10 Mama tried
George Jones
1 Walk through this world with me
2 Bartenders Blues
3 When the grass grows over me
4 Shes my rock
5 Still doin time
6 The window up above
7 Still doin time
8 Choices
9 Yabba Dabba Do, the king is gone and so are you
10 Elusive Dreams (with Tammy)
Listen to them and tell me those arent quality songs!
