Title: Virtual Humidor Update #2
Post by: SenorPablo on 06/21/2007 10:53 PM
Well if you've looked at your virtual humidor lately, you've probably seen some pretty big changes.  It has been linked up to the Cigar Database so that you can enter you cigars in the humidor by selecting them from the over 8400 entries in the database.  This should help with accuracy, allow you to look the cigar details, and also more easily enter ratings for them.  You can still enter cigars in the free form text field if you would rather.  None of your entries are lost, they would just all be located in the free form text field.  You can easily move them to entries from the cigar database if you desire.  Let me know if you find any problems.

Yes.  Nice work!  I need to take the time to move my smokes over to the other side.  I like being able to easily get to the details and ratings.

Where do you find time to do this stuff???

That's pretty cool stuff.  One comment: I had trouble figuring out how to add a new cigar.  I figured out you have to click the little '+' sign.  Maybe i'm just dense. Did anyone else have a problem there?

VERY nice work!   It did take me a minute also to figure out I needed to click the little 'plus sign' to add a new cigar.  But once I realized that, the system looks good!

Glad you folks like the changes.  Good feedback.  I was a bit worried about that plus sign thing too.

I really want to keep that form hidden since it took up so much room, but didn't feel like making it a click to a different page for the form.  Maybe what i'll do is just put a link next to it that say something like "Add a Cigar" or something.
