- While, I'll admit that I wasn't perfect in this pass and was a bit slow to send, I made sure that I was within the 1 week turn-around time his rules stated. Pass moderator on multiple occasions routed the pass back to him to "check cigars" but it really came across as cherry-picking. Many Vets are not happy with how this pass turned out. Read the thread with any questions.
Stefan will not be welcome in any pass we host in the future until he learns what it is to be a member of this special Geek community.
(Funny, until this edit I had decided to keep my personal beliefs out of the feedback I left for Stefan. I'm not sure what posting cigar reviews has to do with anything as far as this forum is concerned. Not only was Stefan's pass shut down, his forum for his pass was shut down by the site owner as well. While I don't recall all of the cigars that I sent him in a previous blind trade, I know I sent more than what my agreement was and then some and all of the other guys I engaged in the same blind trade with had NO issue with the cigars I sent and even praised the quality and quantity of the sticks that I sent to them.
I honestly have NO idea why he thinks that my failure to submit cigar reviews to this site means that I am any less of an aficionado than the rest of the Geeks. My cigar reviews are peppered across a 30,000+ page website and although, I haven't opted to include them here, when I have a few moments in the future I just might. While yes, I am choosing to build a special business relationship with the Geek community, which quite frankly, they don't seem to mind at all, I am also here because I truly love cigars, pipe smoking and interacting with those that do the same.
Not once have I hidden my motives, failed to operate outside the guidelines and with reckless disregard for the wishes of the site owner and the regular and diehard Geek veteran's and members, and should you chose to read the link above, you'll see that one of use clearly has.)
Stefan, I hope that you find what it means to be a true Geek and that you learn to act in accordance with the best practices of the community as a whole. I'm not infallible and I'll own that but I'm going to rest easy that a year or more from now, I'm still going to be working hard to build this community and helping others to find their way among us.)
