That's not cool. It's like the guys that bid higher that everyday CI pricing on Cbid. It takes 30 seconds to crosscheck pricing, then maybe they would stop pulling this shir.

Yeah, I've discovered that on occasion too, the obvious business plan was to initially gain a consumer base by offering really good deals and gradually easing prices up, counting on the suckers that don't know what things go for on cbid.

The laughable part of it all is that it's ultimately all the same company, just in a different form.  The cbid version is still king on price if you have the patience for it...

I do believe that they are in fact 2 different companies
Cbid, CI & Cigar.com are one in the same
Cigar Page is a different entity

Still the fact remains that CP counts on people thinking that if its the deal of the day it MUST be a deal

Yeah my point was they both prey on idiots that do check prices and it's bs, but I just won't buy if it's not a great deal.

Certainly worth following to see if it is a trend in Thier pricing, if yes then we need to flame them

Kent,

On your next order (if there ever is one) take a look at where it's shipped from.  I thought I remember looking and seeing that it's coming from the same warehouse as CI, Cbid, and cigar.com.  Do their 5'ers come in CI bags?  Pretty sure they did.  Even famous is now under the CI umbrella, right?  Doesn't matter, it's just funny how many forms they choose to take...

A lot of the guys at the cigar shop found Cigar Page the other day.  Just like any site, you have to know if it's a deal for it to be a deal.  Just cause it's labeled deal of the day, does not make it a deal!!!

They added AJ new world to their 10ski sale and they're under $4/stick so I'm applying my points to get them within 10% of what they were back in the day and I can be done with them now, HA!

So, over two years later, wanted to revive this discussion and say that with all online cigar retailers... you have to know your price point and if the deal that is being posted is really  a deal.  Sometimes you can get a cbid price that is a bit cheaper, but have to factor in shipping(and sometimes people go crazy on cbid).  The one thing that cigarpage has going for it is that they include shipping.  And if you pay attention and know that some cigarpage deals are better then others... you can catch some great non-bid deals.

Like last year got a tenner of AVO Ritmo toros for $49.90...  Killer price for AVO ritmo toros.  But so-so for others.
