It's been a good long time since I've been out and about. Tonight my son Hunter took me out to Island Girl Cigar Bar for a Cigar Release Party. He listens to local sports talk radio here, and former Jaquar Lean Searcy is on one of the shows he listens to. The party was for the release of the new Howard G Cigars All Pro Series Leon Searcy "Lil Searc" cigar. We had a good time. I talked a good bit with both Leon and Howard G. Both are really nice guys. We talked about the process they went through developing the cigar, and cigars in general.
The Lil Searc is a 5.5" 58-ring powerhouse of a cigar. Definitely full-bodied with loads of nice dark leathery, woody tastes, with some coffee and enough peppery spice that you'd swear it had Don Pepin Garcia on the label. We paid $17/stick at the bar, and I think they're worth it.
