Based on the responses I think most of us are more interested in the shaving brush. I think Omegar may need to up his production of this very cool item.

Well here is where you can order Rod's shaving brushes, gentlemen:

http://www.pensoftheforest.co.uk/shaving/shaving-brush.html

Some very nice items to choose from!

:shades: That is some very fine work.  I have never before seen shaving brushes that I would consider art.
I'm right 98% of the time.  Who cares about the other 3%?

Fine craftsmanship is fine craftsmanship and those Brushes certainly qualify...

The parcel is moving through the system....

It has now moved 140 miles from here to Heathrow Airport.
Watch how fast it flies!

omegar

OK... now we get interesting.

Where did it cross into North America?
Where will it go next?
Can anyone find it?
The tension rises.

Hint: Royal Mail Tracking stops here!

I did say that I was going to get sneaky. :shades:

But... OK....
Give it a few hours for USPS to scan it into their system.
Then you can use the same UK tracking number LY311515455GB

Let the following really begin!

omegar

What is it with USPS??????

2nd December I posted it here in England
3rd December it was on US soil and handed over to USPS
7th December and USPS tracking shows it hasn't moved!
(In fact they don't even show it has having left England!!)

Unless it has moved and they just can't be bothered to update the tracking???

Tracking in North America is considered too much effort by most postal employees. Of the 30 or 40 packages I have sent/ received in the last year tracking worked on well under half. International and private shipping agents were mostly on the ball with tracking being updated at nearly every stop and only one temporarily misplaced parcel out of six. Canadian Postal service tracking worked 5 out of 10 times and the USPS tracking showed my parcels sitting in the first sorting facility until after I had the item easily 8 out of every 10 packages.

Makes a person wonder how we ever got along without all the bells and whistles.

And that's this year.  Starting 2012, our USPS has announced they will get SLOWER by at least a day or two to cut costs.

You just gotta love the logic in that.

Day 2 of the change.... there is more mail in the system
Day 3 - more people (money) is required to clear the backlog.
Day 4 - it gets worse

Hopefully by day 6 or 7 they out out a statement that they will return to their previous service.

The post office has lost a lot of market share to UPS and Fed Ex.  The main complaints are that the PO charges too much and are too slow.  The USPS has used government logic to solve their problems.  They will be raising their rates and slowing down service.
