Ok, I'm trying to put 2 more fans in my humi. However, the ribbon cable that comes with them is only like 6" long! Does anyone here know where you can buy the ribbon cable in longer sections? Been all over the internet and drew blanks all over the place.

Help Please...

It's for a Humi-Care, already put in a help request to Cigars International (They actually make it.). It's the about 1/4"wide paper thin power cable so you can run it under doors, behind shelves etc. I have additional fans on the bottom but I'm trying to put 2 more in just about the drawers to circulate the air in the top half better.

Not a life or death bottom sits at a steady 69 top is only a 2% difference at 67 so I don't really need em but they are only $6 a piece so said why not. Little did I know how hard it would be finding those friggin little cables!

Good thing I don't really have a problem with something guess I would have to replace the whole thing because you can't buy $5 cable!!

The ribbon that comes with the main power supply is about 12" long, maybe you could get one of those.

I'm using a Hydra, but the Humi-care is the exact same thing only blue instead of grey.

On my auxillary fans, the ribbon plugs into the main humidifier, and goes to a block.  on the other side of the block is a jack for the fan to plug into.  The fan is just like a small computer fan with two wires going to it.  Is this what you have?  You could just splice into the wires and make them longer...

http://monoprice.com has some of the best prices anywhere on cables.  This sounds like a specialized rmcable though, not sure if they'd have it or not.

Ya I already replaced the power cable on the main unit and used that long one to run up one side. But I guess splicing into the wires and making them longer would be my next best option.

Really does make me wonder though if this ribbon were to ever go bad as it stands the whole unit would be garbage! Not a good thought  :-0

After 3 days of searching I found 1 place that has it. Here is the link if anyone ever needs a replacement or one for expansion it's the site or Le Veil humidifiers. Good thing to have around powers almost all of the new humidification systems and their accessories.

They sell the 4 prong ribbon power cable in 3 different lengths
12" - $8
19" - $12
8ft - $25.95

They also list several other universal replacement parts that could save somebody money in the future!!

Oh ya agree with you on that one big time!! But I'm fairly internet savvy and in 3 full days I couldn't find more than just this 1 site that sells em so supply and demand! Made me start to wonder though because everything on my humidifier including the fans all require one of these bad boys! So good to know at least 1 place they can be replaced.
