Great idea, Jeff, especially because it may encourage some Geeks to get off their butt and send out some well-deserved bombs...

Talking about myself, mainly.   :shamebag:

Cool idea.

Re: NEWB Bomb - Is 45 days sufficient? Not that I'm the only one concerned here, but to use myself as an example: I've been posting here since March 6 (so over 45 days) and I've done 5 reviews in that time as well and I'm still not at 100 to see people's addresses. Seems like you'd have to be on a torrid pace posting and smoking to get to 100 within 45 days... (I post at a torrid rate in my opinion...)

I would say NEWB Bomb be within 90 days.

Great Idea btw.

They are both correct.  Might be too tough in 45 days since addys aren't visible until 100 posts.

I second (or third) the motion on 90 days for Newbs.

1sgjeffward

My bad on the Newb category. My thinking was 45 days from the 100 mark cause I know they can't view addresses before then. But now that I think about it and you guys point it out could be difficult to track since some will obviously hit 100 at different times than others. 90 days sounds fair to me if everyone is good with that? I do appreciate the tips and have been updating the rules as we go.

I'd like to nominate Reighvn for his orchestration of Operation Mongoose. The 5 part bomb against Billy82 as a congratulations for his new child. Not sure which category it fits in. Creativity?

I've got a great cigar collection - it's actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn't going to smoke every last one of 'em.

If I'm allowed to vote, I second that on Dana (Reighvn). I was happy to have a part in blowing up billy...and we blowed him up real good

1sgjeffward

Agreed. Would put that one under the Creative category.

I am not concerned about what you think as I can tell you don't do it often.

Sounds good.  People should be rewarded for thier generousity.  But just to be a d*ck, I'll start taking bets to see if Jeff is still around at the end of year.

Nah I'm good at identifying the d*ck's who just run their mouths and ignore em
That's a cool talent.  I'm not so good at that so if you run across one of them let me know so we can gang up on em.

Great idea.  I nominate Bob to be the MC while wearing his smoking jacket.  Drunk would be funnier, because we could get some good random thoughts along with it!

"Wassup, bytches . . . "

Of course, someone younger would have to assist him since I don't think reel-to-reel tapes can be downloaded to YouTube.

Remember YOU have to nominate your friendly bombers and will be voting at the end of the year! Any bomb can be added as long as a member nominates it and another seconds the nomination. Please pay attention to some of our NEWB's I know they have been busy lately! It's my cigars your giving away so.........

Sorry I wasn't able to bump this thread lately :-(

Lots of bombs but not a lot of love? Still keeping track you might as well try to get your favorite bomber a box of smokes! Nominations are wide open.

I have to nominate Elliott. Doubleott05 for orchestrating myself as the recipient of the Super Secret Bomb Run.  That would have to be a Carpet Bomb.

Elliot is a VERY deadly bomber! And he for sure used some of that MI training on that one. He is in for the Heavy Hitter category.
