Here is the deal.  I am ordering some sticks from a reputable source here in Canada within the next week or so.  I might be able to find a special stick or box that might not be easily found at your b&m.  Brands like oliva, Patel, padron, ghurka ect. Are not easy to come by here, or are way too over priced.  If you cross once in a while and are willing to trade some sticks, PM me.  I can give the website if you want to place a wishlist :). Happy smoking

Depends on when/where - this is a little vague - not sure exactly what you're looking for, send me a PM - I live in Metro Detroit area.

I'm in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, a couple of hours from Sault Ste Marie and few more from Duluth...

So let me get this straight:  The trade would take place in Canada and the American would be the "mule" both going in and coming back out, taking all the risk?  Hmm...  :?:

Hey! How come Habana is written on here with a Sharpie ?!?

A day without whiskey is like . . . just kidding, I have no idea!

My passport is in the process.  According to laws, one can take 50 cigars duty free from their country to another for "personal use".  I'm not opposed to going across once it comes in.  One should not break the laws of importing illegal goods now!  Cuban cigars can only be enjoyed on this side of the border.   Now where are those bundled sticks I have? Lol

freakydeakydutchman

havent the laws changed and now you can take more than 50 now....?

Also it is illeagl to ship a tabacco produts between provinces here in canada. So the cross boarder thing is a work around. Stupid law as it only deals with the taxes that the provincal gorverments want from said products.

wait shipping across a province border is illegal? why? canada's getting retarded with all these anti smoking laws.

freakydeakydutchman

Its due to money and taxes and each province wants there's.

You bet.  It's easy to cross physically with sticks for "personal use", but ship to another province...... They will send CSIS after you lol.  Sell tobacco to someone without paying taxes here gets you in more trouble than selling a pound of pot.  Tax dodging is FEDERAL.  Sigh.

Plus its like everywhere else in the western world. the tabacco horse is the current aminal they are whipping now.

The amount of cigars that can be brought back or into Canada duty free is still 50. This did not change when the new shopping exempt limits went up recently (not including tobacco and alcohol).

Here are the new as well as all the duty free limits and guidelines when shopping stateside:

i still havent figured out how tobaco has become more punishable than pot. shouldnt the government do something against all these illegal drugs before attacking legal ones? or is that to logical for politians?

freakydeakydutchman

they dont tax pot or other illeagl drugs.. no cash so its not a real issue. now as soon as Canada makes pot legal and start to tax it... watch out!!!!

Oh no.... Politics! Lol.   Don't waste your brain power on figuring out any of the legalese and brilliant ideas of the government.  Money is what it's all about.  Put on some good music, find a stick that suits your mood.... Maybe even grab that book you are into and enjoy the moment..... Until we invade Nicaragua and Cuba for their tobacco lol.

I would like to know of this magical Canadian cigar retailer. As far as I know the only decent cigars available at reasonable prices here in Canada are ISOM.. Ibuy most of my cigars in the USA and have to  "mule : em back here 50 at a time...
