Mix it up, send all the same...it's a mystery! This one is based on trust and integrity, which this site has tons of. So if you get some bad ass, quality sticks, and yes, price can be a factor in that sometimes, do you really want to treat a fellow BOTL with some shyte dog rockets? Nobody will know what was sent or received  until the pass is over. So, your "reputation" and trust and integrity will be on display once the photos are posted. What this is, is a chance to show everyone  how bad ass of a BOTL and Cigar Geek you really are!  :biggrin:

OK my fellow geeks! We are full and I have set the order for the pass. I would rather not adjust it, but if there is a problem, let me know. mike.casey, I know you wanted to be first, but I would like to cover Texas first.  I think it will go rather quickly, (showing faith in my Texas geek family!) but it comes to you first once it leaves here. I figure you will see it in two weeks or less. This should be a good one, as your trust and integrity is the key to this pass. It's time to impress your fellow geeks! I made some changes to the pass after some requests, so I think we are now set. I will send out pass on Monday. Since all 5 stay and 5 new stick go out, this one will jump around for the first part. The pass will cross into Canada, and both BOTL there will pass to each other, and then it comes back to the States. Being that there are only 5 sticks, the feedback I got was that we should be ok jumping across the border and back. I will post on Monday once I leave the post office. One warning to all my fellow geeks...I am gonna set the bar kinda high to begin with, so remember that this pass is based on integrity. It is a opportunity to really reward your fellow geek!  :biggrin:  :bigthumbs:

I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken....

i found a link from the Canadian Gov site that said five sticks was the largest gift. Mark, Horido said put the value very low. Also the US Postal Service was the only shipper i could get to accept cigars for shipping w/o a tobacco llicense?

I would follow whatever horrido suggests, as he has the experience to lean on when it comes to sticks crossing the border. I really don't think it will be a problem, but I will put this out there. If the sticks get confiscated for whatever reason, I will send out another 5 pk to our Canadian brothers. So, don't let anything get in the way with you treating your fellow geeks up there with some fine, quality cigars...I got yer back bro!  :biggrin:  :bigthumbs:

I've shipped to Canada a bunch and never had an issue with arrival. It WILL take 3 or 4 weeks no matter what.

I always put $25 on the value, and write "sporting goods-broadheads" on the description. Since it should weigh less than 10oz it won't raise any eyebrows. DO NOT tell them you're shipping cigars, even if it's legal most PO's will tell you it's not. Just put a stupid amount of packing tape on there, so it's not easy to peek into. Last suggestion is to find a box that is not a priority mail box. It costs like $20 to ship priority, less than $6 for first class. They get there around the same time anyway.

i ran into that. the girl at the counter said it wasn't legal and a few days later the supervisor told me it was but for cigars only. i think i used AC parts the time i sent something up there.

AC parts works too! I send archery equipment that way from time to time, so that's why I chose it. The issue with sending sticks is if there are a lot in there it may weigh like 2.2lbs ( you know... a kilo) or suspiciously close. Which will prompt customs to open said package. Seeing all the tobacco they will want to tax, or destroy them.

Take a picture, but do not post it until the entire pass is done. Once the pass comes back to me, I will start a thread for everyone to post their pics and comments about the cigars they received, and a pat on the back to the fellow geek who passed the mystery sticks to them. Like I stated before, I think I raised the bar pretty high to kick this thing off, and it is up to the next geek to keep that up...or not. A great stick is obviously subjective to all of us, but we all have a pretty good idea of good sticks vs shyt sticks. Honesty and intergrity being the key to this pass, I tend to think we have plenty of that and more to spare on this site! The intrigue and mystery is upon us all!!  :biggrin:  :bigthumbs:  :usa:
