As some of you know have been making walking sticks that have a cigar compartment in the end. Well have 27 new pieces to work with and am totally out of tubes  :-(

So, was wondering if any of you had some empty tubos laying around? They need to be metal with the screw cap and size is not all that important will have a use for just about all sizes. Any donation wold be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I get all of the Aspens from my house down south of here. Have about an acre grove behind the house and all are dead for at least a year before I take em. On pics 1 and 2 you can see why I use the aspen! It has a beautiful white color, minerals in the graining and in its bends it holds the ripples all the way through the tree! Another reason for using the Aspen is that these are not branches they are the trunk of the tree so even though they are very light they are SUPER strong both good characteristics for a hiking/walking stick. The single that is bent is one I'm making for a buddy of mine.

Ken (Alphairon) and Dana (Reighvin) have the very 1st 2 I ever made. But have been perfecting the technique for several months now.

The finished 2 shown both will hold up to a 6.5"x54 cigar but you can see where the tubos go

Since you mentioned it the one I'm making for mark will have a bear bell and a safety whistle on it as well!

@ Jason ya it has TONS of uses! the one on the left with the curve in it is my personal one and I use it all the time. It's amazing how durable they are being the trunk of the Aspen and so light at the same time. Have one of the little waterproof tubes for wooden matches I carry with mine that I use to light up when I'm on the trail

@ Paul Thank you!

Have thought about selling em but so far am making em and trading em for cigars :dancing:

Thought about trying it on here. Making em, send it then you send back what you think is fair in cigars but not real sure what kind of interest there would be. Plus would have to ask for shipping. Since they are so long I have to make a box for em and pay the oversized rate through UPS :-(

I was going to send you a few until I saw the pics.  All of the tubos that I have are from cigars from an island of which we shall not speak, and are from petite coronas/ small panatelas.  Unless someone wants to put very small cigars in there, these wont work very well.

I can attest that this is a pretty awesome item to have and I have used it on a hike and it holds up nicely. And it is durable and sturdy too. I've even managed to use mine as a crutch one time too. :-)

Very nice Jeff, I will pack what tubes I have when the pass gets to me and I have decided that I am going to move in to your place so I can keep an eye on your tower.
