A guy was out driving his new Mercedes on I-95, going about 85. He looks in his mirror and sees the blue lights of one of Florida's finest.
But instead of pulling over, he thought to himself "lets see what this thing will do", and hits the gas.
90, 100, 110, the speeds climbed. The trooper stayed right with him, and appeared to be catching up.
After going about 130 for a while he could see traffic starting to back up and he was going to have to slow down. So, he pulls over and decides to face the music.
The exasperated trooper walks up to the car and said "look...today is my last day and tomorrow I begin my retirement. My shift is over in ten minutes and I'm in a good mood. I'll make a deal with you...if you can give me one good reason why I shouldn't arrest you, I'll let you go."
The man looked the trooper square in the eye and said "last month my wife ran off with a state trooper. I was scared you were bringing her back."
The trooper replied, "have a nice day!"
