ALL GEEKS!

Well Geeks we are in a new year! Already a bunch of great bombs being thrown around so we need to get this years contest started!!!

SO, here are the categories and the punishment!

  • Heavy hitter: Best combined cigars in a bomb. Can be expensive, rare etc. EOY PRIZE: Mixed box of 15 cigars and a lighter.
  • Most creative: Can be the creativity of the cigars, how it's written etc. EOY PRIZE: Mixed box of 10 cigars and a cutter.
  • Carpet Bomber: Most bomb's sent. EOY PRIZE: Mixed box of 10 cigars.
  • Funniest bomb: The funniest bomb category is officially as of this year the Bob "Wassup, bytches . . . " award! Bob will be judging and providing the prize for this category
  • Best NEWB bomb: Best bomb by a member during their first 90 days on the Geek. EOY PRIZE: It's a surprise!

Here are the rules:

  • Bomb must be nominated here in this thread for a specific category by a member and then seconded by another member.
  • Bomber cannot recommend their own bomb :shades:
  • Nominations  can only be for pure BOMB'S! So the sender had to clearly identify that  it was a bomb and in the case of combined shipping the specific cigars  that were the bomb portion had to have been clearly identified.
  • Bomber can be nominated for multiple categories throughout the year but can only win in 1 category.
  • In the event that a bomber was to win more than 1 category they will be  declared the winner in the category they get the most votes in and  dropped to 2nd place in the other category. The 2nd place finisher in  the other category will be declared the winner for that group.
  • When you nominate a bomber please include a link to the posted bomb for easy reference at the end of the year.
  • ALL bombs sent in 2013 qualify! So feel free to go back and nominate all your favorites so far this year.
  • I will compile all nominees at the end of the year and members will vote on the winners in each category.
  • I will bump this thread once a month because I know we geeks have a short memory :shades:

Calling all Guru's! As you can see Bob has generously agreed to pick up as sponsor for a category. If any of the rest of you are interested in sponsoring a category please PM me and it's all yours. Can be one of the ones already listed or one of your own choosing that your twisted little mind invented on your own :shades:

I have a good one for under "funniest" . Now i have to do some research in the old threads. I hope i can find it.

Question - any logic behind the requirements for what's included?  For instance, what if someone sends a box with 5 unobtainable smokes along with a bottle of hard to find Bourbon.  Under these guidelines, he/she wouldn't be eligible?

If you are referring to the text in bold, I think that is the prize to be awarded.

It's OK we still love you even if you have to wear your bag :lmao:

Guess I could see how that might have been misunderstood. But for instance I nominated Angel for his bomb to me and a bottle was exactly what was included. But YES the bold is my set prize for that category unless somebody decides they want to sponsor that category then they are free to determine any specifics or prizes as they see fit. Such as Bob's award no idea what the prize will end up being that's totally up to Bob.

I would like to nominate Tvolball (Troy) for the Carpet Bomber 2013.  He just completed a successful run of 5 bombs on unsuspecting members!

Might suggest however that Troy (Tvolball) be moved to best NEWB bomber. The bombs do fit the Carpet bomber requirements but still being in his first 90 days he fits into both categories but will go with the one that you choose Bruce?
