What do you do with your cigar boxes?

Well here is a dollhouse on craigslist that is roughly 100 years old, made out of cigar boxes.

I have been gathering them, to take apart,,, going to use to make shelves to use in the coolidor...I figure if it is cedar, even if ply wood,,,they still are wood to repurpose,,,,I wish I was that crafty.  I made my loose cigar box today, been a while since I did wood work, functional yet has character that's for sure,,,

Very nice craftsmanship.

I can't seem to be able to keep my boxes long, both my kids love boxes and every time there's a new one coming in, they call dibs on it. They use them for all sorts of stuff, collections, jewellery etc.

I keep thinking I should get rid of some my cigar boxes, but I never really want to.  Now I can make my own dollhouse out of them and save $2,500.  I knew there was a reason I have been saving all of these for all these years.

For the longest time, I kept all of my boxes.  Now they get sent out with out recycling - they started taking up way too much space.

Fortunately, there are a few teachers at the schools we do work for that take all my empties off my hands. Glad to see they are put to use!
