Maybe what I thought was a clever way to get the thread recognized didn't work

Nah, it was okay.  Maybe could use an ellipsis  (...)  to let the reader know that it is an incomplete sentence.

^^This might have been better!!  But as long as the correct message was conveyed in the end, its no big deal.  Enjoy the cigars, buddy, especially that Liberty 2007.
