Paul, I didn't have any trouble w/ house of cards.  it has 2 options to play --reg play and practice, you must have hit practice---it will not save a score (even though it tells you a score) in this mode.

Yeah.  My wife has complained about the same thing.  Apparently with these games, you get what you pay for.
