So last week my Xikar Enigma broke and I sent it back.  They received it Monday and today I get this response:

XIKAR Customer,

We have received your
package and in your Consumer Return Form you asked to be notified when your
item is processed.  We replaced your lighter and will be sending your package
back to out to you.

Let me know if you
have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Best Regards,

They are awesome, I have had warranty replacements now 3 times and never an issue.  I could have done a swap at a B&M but mailing it out myself is just as easy, not like I don't have backup lighters in the meantime.

Thats great. Hard to find good customer service anymore.
I used to sit outside all night and drink bud lite and smoke Marlboros and everyone thought I was a bum. Now I sit outside all night and drink craft beers and smoke cigars and everyone thinks I have class.

Haven't had to get any waranty work done yet, but from what I hear they are second to none.

I have a Xikar Escalade and have had it replaced 4 times without question. I like the lighter but they keep failing. As long as they replace it, I will keep sending them back

When my hygrometer stopped working, I sent it back and they replaced it.

Ditto here... have only had to use the service twice (once for a cutter and once for a lighter) over the last 10 or so years and both times I took the item back to the B&M and walked out with a brand new replacement.

Unfortunately, my Xi2 got lost at a party.  No matter how good the customer service is, they aren't going to cover that.

Did you say "pretty please", or try telling them it was broken before you lost it

My new lighter came in today ya ya.  The one I sent in was gunmetal on the sides and silver everywhere else.  This one is all gunmetal color, seems beefier, and I'm so happy to get my double flame back again.  The single flame Xikar I was using is good but not this good.  The flash in the pic makes the color look funny.

We will see how good Xikars warranty is on the brand new hygrometer I got in the mail 2 days ago.  Brand new in the box, reads 68% on a salt test.  Talk about junk!  Xikar really screwed the pooch when they went to non adjustable hygrometers IMO.  Kind of wish I hadn't bought it

BTW, congrats on the replacement Brian!

I don't have any Xikar products, but I do like a company who stands behind their product. I will say though, it seems like everyone I know who has a Xikar lighter has had it fail. Cutters seem to do better but there are less moving parts too. I recently got into v-cuts and when I bought a v-cutter at my B&M they had two options, Xikar and cheap plastic. The cheap plastic was $4 the Xikar was $50. My plastic one would have to break 12 times before I break even and that's assuming I didn't pay to ship it. I'm sure they are nice but I struggle to justify it.

I do like Xikar's Warranty but I have had the same problem with the same lighter now going on three times now. Perhaps its just the way they were made but having to turn them in it seems every other month is getting ridiculous

In fairness, it could just be that you only hear people complain when things go wrong so it's a little more proliferated than those that never have an issue.
