Anybody know what is going on with Famous-Smoke website. Main site and Monster down for the last 2 days

I called them and was told the site won't be back up until tomorrow (Friday).

Well if they steal my credit card info, I'm not reporting it.  Because the thief will be spending less than I was . . . .

They did send out a message that it is some kind of data breach. They said credit cards weren't exposed because they aren't kept where ever the breach was.

I saw the notice on their twitter.

Yeah, they sent me 3 emails about it.  I guess they wanted their most frequent customers to be in line to spend money when the gates opened up again!  

So Monster is back up but with no pictures, Famous and Auctioneer are still down

You called it, I couldn't imagine losing all that data. Talk about a setback. Might want to think about nightly backups that are kept offline....you know, like people used to do before there was a cloud.

I don't think I've ordered from them in over a year or more.  Wonder if they were a target or just collateral damage.

That does suck!  But I do warn you guys not to click on the pornhub ads....

I still follow the 3-2-1 backup rule: 3 copies of the data, on at least 2 different media, and at least 1 copy is offsite in case the place burns down.  I don't know why corporations don't follow this rule... oh wait! Yes I do: MONEY. A solid backup & restore plan costs money. >sigh<

Looks like the site is finally back up, but clearly its an old version because the front page is advertising the 4th of July sale that ends July 5.

I think I will avoid them for a while until they get it back together.
