Hi Folks. Testing is largely completed on the new site. Just working out a couple issues with the Android App integration. Apple, of course, killed the iPhone App, so that is not in scope for now. The plan at this point is to cutover to the new site this Friday night (Friday the 16th.) The site will be down for a few hours while the cutover happens. When it is back up you should see a VERY different look and feel with a more modern and responsive design. All your data will be on the new site. So it might take a bit of time to get used to where everything is on the new site. Once, you get used to it, I think you'll appreciate the more modern design and functionality.
What it will give us is a more up to date backend system that should be more stable and perform a better. There are long term benefits in being on a technology stack that is more up to date as well. Adding any new functionality and changing existing should be much easier. Also the new system will have all the latest security built in - including the long missing SSL/HTTPS security that our old hosting provider would not support without a lot of extra cost and code changes. We should see more traffic as the security warnings go away and more people can access the site. Currently many browsers are blocking the site since it does not have SSL support. You'll also have new things like @Mentions and a lot of other minor enhancements you'll run into.
I will keep you up to date as we get closer to the date in case anything changes. Appreciate everyone's support and patience as we make this transition!
