the Supreme Court overturned the Chevron deference, a move that is likely to limit the U.S. Food & Drug Administration's (FDA) ability to regulate tobacco products, affecting both future regulations like bans on flavored cigars or limits on nicotine, as well as others that are already in effect.  Beyond cigars, today's landmark decision could impact nearly every facet of American life, with both proponents and opponents of the decision characterizing it as one of the most consequential rulings of the Supreme Court in decades.  :cigarman:

This is a move in the right direction.   :bigthumbs:
I am not concerned about what you think as I can tell you don't do it often.

I used to be a people person, but then people ruined that for me.

Every loaf of bread is a tragic story of a group of grains that could have become beer but didn't.

Oral arguments in Cigar Association of America et al. v. United States Food and Drug Administration et al., the eight-year-old lawsuit over the FDA's regulation of premium cigars, will take place Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.

The appeal is being made by the government, which lost the case last year. In August, Judge Amit P. Mehta ruled in favor of the three cigar trade groups that filed the case, finding that the FDA failed to properly evaluate comments submitted to the agency prior to the enacting of the 2016 deeming regulation.

This is crucal moment for the premium cigar industry If the appeal goes in favor of the FDA it could led to stricter regulatons that might afect our access to certain cigars Its worth keping an eye on the outcome, as it could shape the future of our hobby
Le's hope the court recognizes the uniqueness of premium cigars and the importance of keeping them acessible Its not just about the cigars its about preservving the culture and community weve built around them. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome on September 13

Greetings, Andrew 😊
