Had a few visitors this morning while we were having coffee.  Beautiful but really hard on the lawn.
I used to be a people person, but then people ruined that for me.

Every loaf of bread is a tragic story of a group of grains that could have become beer but didn't.

Wow those deer are huge. We get tons of white tail deer on our property, but they are half that size.

They're elk Daniel, definitely bigger than deer.  They have about 38 in the heard. Like mowing a washboard after they come through.

Ok. Thought they were Mules deer. Elk are beautiful animals.

Do you hunt? Can you hunt on your property? That is a bonanza for sure!

I don't hunt anymore, just observe. I could hunt on the place and have had some people who are willing to pay to hunt the property but I haven't let them. I do love me some elk meat though. Thought about getting a nuisance tag but haven't done it yet. I enjoy watching them more than anything so I haven't messed with them. The bear on the other hand has made my list. Destroyed 2 of my bee hives year before last so he has become fair game.  Think he knows he crossed a line though since I haven't seen him in several months. Lots of sign he's around but he's keeping his distance from the bee's nowadays.

That is awesome!  I haven't been fortunate to see elk herds yet since being back.  2 close calls with deer though and not in a good way.

You probably have more purple haired Karens than we do down south. I hear they are extremely entertaining to watch from a safe distance.
