I didn't :)  I just found it interesting that the "German" town was in Louisiana and not, say, Pennsylvania and that's it's more than likely the name is from the French.

There were a LOT of Germans in France some years ago as I dimly recall from my history lessons!   :biggrin:

Grosse Tete means "Big Head" in French.  "Tetons," however, is slang in French for "Boobs."
You are correct sir !!!  Gross Tete is French for "Fat Head", or "Big Head". Most folks around here are French Catholics. Good people too.
