I bought something once. The price was good, but I've found good prices to be rare and too many offers are for "exclusive" house blends that I have no faith in. Don't remember what I bought, some 5 pack, probably.

I'll have to keep the comments box in mind myself.  I guess I should also say that I'm listed on Cbid as WL of Sanford TX and 87 North everywhere else.  If you need to email me wesleach@hotmail.com will work but I tend to check my email on the days I work more often than on the days that I'm off...

See previous post.  Everywhere else includes cigarauctioneer, and Thompson.

Got it.  Sorry about that.

No worries...Just feeling like a smart a$$

I have never shopped the Thompson auction site, I smoked some of their house brands years ago and they were pretty miserable.

This is a great idea Nate. I always worry about robbing my fellow Geeks, and dread the thought of having bid any of you out of a deal.

The only good purchase I ever got from Thompson Auction was a box of 2005 Camacho Liberty's.

I've acquired at least half of my collection from three auction sites (CBid, Auctioneer & JR).  I have never seen anything that looked like a bargain at Thompson, and it took too many years to get them to leave me alone, so I don't even look there anymore.

About a year ago, I was scoring some exceptional deals on Thompson.  Fivers of Padron 2000, 601 Green, Tatuaje Havana VI, etc for $8 to $12....

I was really pissed at myself about a week ago.  They had a box of Camacho Diploma Maduros, which are getting harder and harder to find at decent prices.  It sold for $90. :-(

Nate - This is very useful, but more importantly it helps if the bidder puts 'Cigar Geeks' in the comment box with his bid.  This morning I was about to bid on an item, and if Jerry (southernpacifico) hadn't put 'CG' in the comment box, I would have outbid him.  As a courtesy, I PM'd him that I'll sit this round out and pick it up next time.

We should all watch each other's backs on these auctions. No need to get greedy . . . they keep repeating the same items over and over again, and then we ALL win!

Exactly why we all need to use this cross reference. Thanks Bruce for the great example!

Very nice example.  I try to put CG in the comments box at CBID for that very reason.

This spreadsheet is a nice reference for those of us that use CigarAuctioneer since they don't have a comments section.  Since I very rarely use CBID anymore and almost use Auctioneer exclusively, I want to make sure I'm not sniping auctions from fellow Geeks.

Thanks for putting this out there Nathan, now I can go to each auction site and make you guys pay more for cigars.

Does anyone need to add info to this before nwb publishes?

Nate, I noticed that your table lacks the data for Akira, Alphairon, Bob Cordell, DennisA, Jackal, and Lowpro75 as per their posts to this thread.

You were going to attach the .xls correct? We really appreciate you doing this. Especially Rich.

Site administrators, I think this cross reference should be listed in the articles section. Name it something like "CG Members Auction Site Identification Cross Reverence".

Hey folks.  A suggestion came in to make this thread info easier to find.  So I moved it to the Cigar Shops forum and made it sticky to the top.
